The Cedar Hill Rotary is built on a simple purpose: serve others and strengthen our community. Whether we are donating food to a local pantry, helping at the animal shelter, or providing a warm new coat to a child in need, our mission is to show up where help is needed most.

District Governor Mike Callahan Visits Cedar Hill

Cedar Hill Rotary members were honored to welcome Rotary District 5810 Governor Mike Callahan for an official visit. DG Callahan shared his vision and priorities for the Rotary year, highlighting opportunities for service and engagement, and inspiring members with stories of Rotary’s impact both locally and globally. He expressed the importance of each club taking part in the unified theme of Rotary International President Olayinka “Yinka” Babalola's vision of “Creating Lasting Impact”, which centers on unleashing personal and collective change by focusing not just on project outcomes, but on the endearing, long-term difference those actions make in communities and within members themselves. It was a great meeting, and we look forward to supporting DG Callahan and the Prestonwood Rotary Club at their October 24th World Polio Walk.

Cedar Hill Rotary Bike Rally: Ride With Purpose

The 18th annual Cedar Hill bike rally was held in May. Riders showed up for either the 25, 43, or 64-mile scenic trek, and the weather did not disappoint. Each year, the event is hosted by the Cedar Hill Rotary Club, and local sponsors donate to ensure success. Rest stops are stocked with snacks, fruits, and beverages, and riders are provided complimentary hot, fresh burgers courtesy of Red Robin at the end of their ride. The 2027 date has been scheduled, and we hope to see YOU on the next ride.

Coats for Kids: Wrapping Cedar Hill Students in Care

Every winter, the Cedar Hill Rotary Club turns compassion into action through its Coats for Kids initiative. This meaningful project helps provide new, warm coats for elementary students across Cedar Hill ISD, ensuring children can arrive at school protected, confident, and ready to learn.

For Rotary members, service is more than a motto — it is a commitment to show up for local families when it matters most. Cedar Hill Rotary members share a passion for community service, and Coats for Kids reflects that mission in a powerful, personal way. Cedar Hill ISD also recognizes coats as an essential student need through its Longhorns Care Closet.

Your $20 donation can help place a warm coat in the hands of a child who needs one. With your support, we can help keep Cedar Hill students warm this winter.
